Dr. Jon Draud of Nashville Reprimanded
Nashville psychiatrist Jon Draud neglected nurses he was supposed to supervise.
NASHVILLE, TENNESSEE – June 15, 2023
Dr. Jon W. Draud, 57, of Nashville was publicly reprimanded by the Tennessee Board of Medical Examiners and ordered to pay $2500.00 in fines.
While serving as the supervising physician of thirteen advanced practice registered nurses in various clinics, Draud failed to be on site as required by state regulations. Facilities neglected include:
- Primary Care & Hope Clinic
- Genesis Psychiatric Services
- Cedars Counseling
- Novo Healthcare
- Athena Consulting and Psychological Services
Draud was ordered to pay up to $10,000 in costs of prosecution and a fine of $2500.00, representing a $500 penalty for each clinic he had neglected for more than 30 days. This is a formal disciplinary action and will be reported by the Board to the National Practitioner Databank or a similar agency.
Draud received his medical degree from the University of Kentucky, Lexington, in 1990 and finished his residence in psychiatry in 1995 at Vanderbilt University in Nashville.
He is a co-founder and co-owner of Draud Sudbury Psychiatric Solutions in Nashville, and claims expertise at Repetitive Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (rTMS). rTMS is the practice of intentionally delivering rapidly pulsed magnetic fields into the brains of living humans.
